About the Awards

The Irish Whiskey Awards remain proudly built on the principle of judging the liquid on taste alone — removing preconceived ideas around brand, age, maturation or marketing.

Each entry is blind-tasted by members of whiskey societies and clubs across Ireland, ensuring fairness, integrity and a true celebration of quality and craftsmanship.

This year’s awards feature 23 categories.

Charity Partner

Supporting Mary’s Meals

The awards continue to support the Kapatamoyo School in Zambia, where nearly 800 children receive two meals a day through Mary’s Meals. With rising costs, a modest entry fee has been introduced — with 100% going directly to charity.

The 2025 awards ceremony location and date will be announced soon.

About the Awards

The Irish Whiskey Awards are organised by The Celtic Whiskey Shop and stand as one of the most significant annual celebrations of Irish whiskey worldwide.

Established in 2013, the awards have grown into a cornerstone event of the industry calendar, recognising excellence across distilleries, independent bottlers and new innovations.

All proceeds from the event are donated to Mary’s Meals, supporting school feeding programmes that help children in some of the world’s most vulnerable communities.

The awards night was a great success and was held in the stunning Pearse Lyon's Distillery in Dublin on Thursday 10th November. Our heartiest appreciation goes to all the entrants who proved that the standard of whiskey and drinks making in Ireland is at an all-time high.
