Enter the Irish Whiskey Awards

The Irish Whiskey Awards celebrate excellence across Irish whiskey and Irish spirits.
Each year, producers from across Ireland compete to have their products recognised
among the country’s finest.

Entries are judged through a rigorous blind tasting process by whiskey societies and clubs from across Ireland. Judges assess the quality of each liquid without influence from branding, reputation or marketing.

The awards continue to support our charitable partner, Mary’s Meals, helping to provide school meals for children at Kapatamoyo School in Zambia. As in recent years, we are asking brands for a small entry fee, with 100% of all entry fees going directly to the charity.

Entry Fees

€25 for 1–4 entries
€50 for 5–8 entries
€75 for 9–12 entries
Thereafter, €25 for every additional group of four entries.

Entry Process

Please complete and return the attached application form by email. Samples should arrive no later than Friday, 7th August, clearly marked IWA 2026 Sample Stock, together with a printed copy of your application form, to:

Each entry requires 3 x 70cl bottles (or equivalent). Category winners will be asked to provide an additional four bottles for use on awards night.

How Judging Works

The Irish Whiskey Awards follows a blind tasting format designed to ensure every entry receives a fair evaluation. Our judges focus exclusively on flavour, craftsmanship and quality.

• Products are tasted blind by experienced whiskey enthusiasts.
• Awards recognise outstanding quality across the Irish drinks industry.
